Top 5 places to visit in Dublin

You are going to Dublin! Of course you need some tips to make your trip unforgettable. Last week I was the whole week in Dublin and did a lot of activities, so I know for sure I can give you some great tips to make your trip better.

1.      Temple Bar Area

If you search only for an area to go out, you certainly came out at Temple Bar. A lot of people think that the Temple Bar is only one pub, but it is a whole area! A few streets with a lot of pubs and restaurants. It is an nice area to experience an typical Irish evening with some live music and traditional food. The originally Temple Bar has the largest whisky collection. – 47/48 Temple Bar Dublin D02 N72 Ireland

2.      Dicey´s Garden

If you want to go an night out in a nice club, go to Dicey’s Garden! It is known by all the local people and the visitors are mainly young adults and students. A great advantage of this club, the drinks are a lot cheaper than anywhere else in Dublin. You can get a beer of mixdrink for just two euro’s. In other places it is up to 7 till 10 euro’s for an cocktail, so be aware of the prices in Dublin! Dicey’s has every evening a theme and some days you can watch a sports game at the biggest screen ever! – 21-25 Harcourt St, Saint Kevin’s, Dublin 2, D02 YF24, Ireland

3.      Guinness Storehouse

It is the typical beer from Dublin. I have had an brewery tour before in Belgium, but the Guinness Storehouse was amazing how big it was. You can follow a tour in your own language with an portable player or you can follow a guide. And of course your free to walk your own tempo! The tasting area is really cool to experience, first they will tell you some facts and you get the smallest beerglass you will ever see and then the guide give you instructions how you should drink Guinness to experience the most aromas. At the 7th floor there is an skybar and you have a beautiful view from the city of Dublin.

4.      Cliff Walk

In addition to all those alcohol activities, it is time for a more ACTIVE tip! You have to take the train to Howth, a fishing village near to Dublin, it around 6 euro’s and approximately 30 minutes to get there. It is a great way to explore the breathtaking nature. You can walk for few hours and clear your head and escape the city rush. If you walked a few hours, you deserve a good meal and can eat some fresh fish dishes in one of the restaurants.

5.      Ghost Tour

My last tip is a Ghost Tour! Visit the scenes of the most despicable acts, let yourself be entertained by our storytellers and driver, two men who really go into it. Stop at a creepy graveyard in the city centre and visit a medieval crypt under Dublin Castle. It is 28 euro’s but really worth it!

I really hope you enjoyed my top 5 activities to do in Dublin and hope you will have an unforgettable time! If you have any tips or subjects you like to see on my blog, just let me know!
